Innovation and Science for Social Impact

The theme of Social Impact is of growing interest, as a result of the increasingly important role played by organizations that intervene in this field, as generators of social value. In this sense, the question that often arises is how to guarantee, not only the creation of value, but its consolidation among stakeholders, communities and society.

The specifics of the Value Creation Wheel methodology, developed over two decades of innovation and research, have demonstrated its ability to guarantee this goal, directly involving all stakeholders in this process in a co-creation process with a view to solving of social challenges.

Thus, the VCW'17 Conference, under the theme of “Innovation and Science for Social Impact”, will give visibility to national and international projects and institutions that intervene in this field, will explain how Public Organizations can create their Innovation Ecosystems and will demonstrate how Meta-Framework VCW has been applied over the years in the social area and other sectors. A rigorous and up-to-date debate will be promoted on this very important topic, which is increasingly transversal to all organizations and which mobilizes more and more people and resources.

Discussing topics related to Teaching and Cooperation, Entrepreneurship, Organizations and the Financing of Social Projects, the Conference will be an excellent meeting point for organizations, professionals, academics and students interested in this exciting topic. At the end of the VCW'17 Conference, the more than 500 participants were introduced to a unique tool that helped them solve a wide range of organizational challenges as well as personal problems.
